There has been nothing but rain and clouds to fill what is quickly becoming the rainiest spring I think I’ve ever seen. I love to play in the rain, that hasn’t changed. But in the midst of the season when I am usually on a blanket in the park enjoying music and a good book, the rain has quite literally put a damper on one of my favorite springtime activities.
So in wishful outfitting, I started pulling out my favorite summer clothes today. After all, the weather can’t stay cold all season long…Right? “Here are a few of my favorite things” comes to mind when I start reaching for my summer staples. A fabulous striped top is a must. This vintage beauty recently became mine and I couldn’t be happier about it. The sunglasses are also vintage Nina Ricci’s. A sleek and sophisticated ensemble can’t be complete without music, right? And what better way to liven up summer than with a portable radio you can take with you anywhere you go. To my friends in the UK, this DAB digital and FM radio is ah-mazing. To my friends in the US; while the DAB radio isn’t an option for us, that doesn’t make this radio any less worth it. The battery life you get on this thing is wonderful. I take mine through every room of the house as well as outside with me. That is, when I can get outside without getting soaked.I happen to be one of those people that feels the mood can never be one-hundred percent perfect without the right music to set the stage for wonderful memories. The portable and beautiful as the Pop Mini has become something I am proud to bring to picnics, parties, you name it. It is always the center of attention and everyone compliments the clarity and quality it produces. So, until the sun decides to stick around for more than a few painfully short minutes in the afternoons, I will try to bring spring inside, with my favorite flowers and my favorite radio. When the sun finally does decide to stay, I will be outside, on my favorite blanket, with that stained book and a faint melody coming from my Pop Mini beside me.
Thank you to Pure for sending me the Pop Mini to review. My father’s Walkman can finally have a break.
